Summer....please.....

I LOVE SUMMER!  Picnics by the lake, tables loaded with potato salad, cole slaw, pitchers of freshly made lemonade, and desserts galore.  The smell of freshly grilled burgers and hot dogs wafting off the barbeque.  MY favorite - the cooler with peach daiquiri's calling out to me.  Throw the blanket down on the ground and surround myself with family and friends.  Life just couldn't get any better.   Summer.....please don't go.

Now available for only 30L at the mainstore.

Other new releases --

Shabby Garden Bench with Tools (outside side porch of the mainstore) - 45L

Talk Dirt to Me!

My poor flowers have barely survived the worst of elements this summer.  They've been pelted by hail, high winds and drenching rainfall.    The US east coast is relentless when it comes to bad weather and seems to be the norm now rather than the unusual.    I get outside and empty the water-logged pots, pluck off the deadheads and baby them like a mother hen.   Back to SL - sunny and warm every day - a flower's dream come true and it shows.    My flowers and shrubs are lush, getting the right amount of sunlight and there's never a moment when I have to head out in the garden to deadhead or empty excess water from the pots.

A beautiful addition to your deck, patio or even outside in the garden.   There are four terracotta pots stacked on top of each other flowing with ivy.    A sign in the lower pot says "Welcome to my Garden".
It sells for 50L and is transfer.

The hanging petunias are on a worn post and add so much color to a garden.   One of the baskets has pink petunias and the other is a variegated blue and white - a must for anyone who wants to brighten up the outside!   It sells for 100L.

The 2 prim summer tree is a full gorgeous sculpted tree - approximately 10 meters high.   Its available with two different perms - transfer for 40L and a copy/mod version for 125 L.   It will surely give your yard a summery look with its light green leaves.

The floral birdcage!    Not only are the flowers beautiful and a part of summer, but so are the sounds of summer, which include birds singing their happy songs.    This floral birdcage brimming with petunias, creeping ivy, and flowers at the base, will add many hours of relaxing sounds of summer.    There's a bird atop the birdcage and he sings all day and night unless you touch him for drop-down menu which controls the on/off switch.   40L.

All items are available at the mainstore (CLICK HERE) or on Marketplace (CLICK HERE).  Happy planting and don't forget to wear gardening gloves to save that manicure!

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

How many times do you change your house in SL????    When I first started waaaaay back in 2007, I heard someone say they changed out houses every three months and I remember thinking OMG!   How extravagant!   As the months and years went by I found my inventory holding over 50 houses and yet again ...that statement of "I'll never do that" came back and bit me in the behind.   Where else can you change your entire surroundings for just pennies and there are no 'for sale' signs or open houses or mortgage companies or....well you get my drift!

There are two new houses available at Persnickity - one of which was premiered at the Home & Garden Expo and the other is a replica of the Persnickity store build.

The Avalon is a one-story rancher with an open concept living area, an area for a kitchen if you choose, one bedroom, and a screened-in porch. (Discounted boxed sets for complete kitchen, living room, and wine bar are on the back porch near the rezzer)   Touch the windows for an option of etched glass or shades.   124 prims and only 25m X 25m.   Special deal during the month of June - IM me if you buy the Avalon and I'll give you the complete kitchen set FREE.  (See it shown below).

The Avondale is the Persnickity store build, a large two-story with a sunroom off the living area.  I'm a sucker for wrap-around porches so the Avondale boasts a charming porch with Victorian spindle trimwork and columns.   195 prims and 43m wide X 66m deep.    I've left the inside lower and upper floor 'open' with no smaller rooms inside which enables it to work beautifully for either a house or store.

Both houses are only 350L, copy/mod, and can be seen in the rezzer on the back porch of the mainstore.

The Wine Dispensing Bar sells for 110L and includes two stools with animations and the wine bar, when clicked on dispenses a glass of wine.

The kitchen set sells for 250L, big discount if everything was bought separately.   It includes the cabinets with  canisters and dishrack, the farmhouse table, copiable chair with a/o's, kitchen fruit bin, AND the yellow blender with summer cooler.

11 Piece Living Room set sells for 375L and includes two sofas and one chair, all with animations, copiable texture-changing coffee table, 1 copiable shabby chic round table, 2 strung lamps, 1 greenery tray, 1 copiable rug, 1 shabby magazine rack, and 1 copiable curtain.   Again a big discount!

Thank you to all those who helped make the Home & Garden Expo such a big success.   It was a fun experience and I hope most of you had a chance to make it.

Sigh of Relief!

Geeezzzz......its been crazy!!!   I've got lots to post today and I'll probably forget something and not realize it until I've sent out the new notice!  THAT'S the way my mind works (or doesn't work).

First...meet Digger.   My resident chipmunk.

I'm having a dilemma.   He's adorable and I love to watch him skitter around the yard at top speed.   He moves like there's a cat on his tail all the time.   Sometimes I just see a 'whir' of action near me but I know its him because he chatters loudly, evidently telling me to get OUT of his way.  So you ask what's the dilemma??   Well....I can't tell you how many 'entrances' and 'exits' he's dug up in my garden.   New holes are appearing every day and I'm wondering if my entire garden is going to sink into oblivion.   Suggestions anyone???    Trap him and take him to the park about a mile away?   With my luck he'd probably drop crumbs on the way there and then eat his way back to my home.     Fill up the holes with dirt every few days and take the path of "live and let live?"     Helllppppp!!!

Ok...on to SL stuff!    The Home & Garden Expo starts tomorrow!!!    It runs from May 24th, opening at 12:00 pm SLT, through June 2nd and it covers 11 sims FILLED with fantastic items.   Over 100 exhibitors are participating offering homes, gardens, landscaping and interior design products.  There's an entertainment schedule, hunts, raffles and silent auctions and you can find all the information on the following website  (CLICK HERE).

Direct teleport to Persnickity at the Home & Garden Expo (CLICK HERE).     Keep in mind that the expo is supporting Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society, so you can shop and help cancer patients and their families by purchasing new items in the Relay for Life vendors all around the Expo.

Big news for Persnickity!    Big STORE for Persnickity!   I was running out of room and decided to build a new store.   Of COURSE I came to this revelation at midnight and not just any midnight either.   The midnight before I had to set up at the Garden Expo.   Good move on my part huh?  Anyway after a night of no sleep the new store is in place.   ALSO....I moved everything from the Garden Center onto the porches of the new store so the old Garden Center is now an OUTLET CENTER.   You'll find items there at prices that have been slashed so come on by and pick up a good deal.   I'll be adding to the Outlet Center constantly.

New item at the store - "Love in the Air Hanging Frame" - a pretty shabby chic frame to hang outside so it can sway in the breeze.    Only 35L and 1 Prim.

LOTS of new items at the Expo, including a new house, The Avalon.   Its on display so swing on by and take a walk-through.    Priced at only 350L .

Hmm....have I forgotten anything?   Probably.   I might be back tomorrow with my missing brain.  Take care all!

Home & Garden Expo COMING SOON May 24-June 2

There are a couple of events each year that excite me as much as Christmas does!    One is the hair fair (can a girl ever have too many styles??) and the other is the Home and Garden Expo.    Each year I walk through the sims getting a quick look at everything and then I go back every day and focus on one sim at a time.   I don't miss a speck on the sidewalk!   This year will be different for me - I'll be joining the list of amazing creators exhibiting their creations!    I'll post a landmark to Persnickity at Expo in a couple days when its available to me but I want to touch on a few things first.

The expo is not only a venue for the exhibitors to show their creations but its a fundraiser for Relay for Life.   For those of you not familiar with Relay for Life (RFL), it is the American Cancer Society's signature fundraising event.   We've all been touched by cancer somehow - whether a family member, friend or ourselves, its a battle that we need to keep fighting through research.    You'll find at least two vendors that each creator has put out - something unique with the proceeds going to RFL.    Please support this worthy cause.

There will also be raffle drawings so look for the spot to enter your name to win.    The prize will be EVERY item in EVERY RFL vendor (!) and the proceeds will go to Relay for Life.

There is also a silent auction, again with all proceeds going to Relay for Life.   I can't stress enough the importance of the Expo.   Everyone benefits and this is such an important event for cancer research along with you seeing and buying great high quality items.

This website (CLICK HERE) is your guide for the Home & Garden Expo.    Grab a cup of coffee (or something stronger if you prefer!) and have fun exploring the 11 sims FULL of the best items SecondLife has to offer.

I'll keep you posted on landmarks in a couple days!

May Group Gift

I'm three days late with the May group gift but I have a good excuse!   I'm now the VERY proud grandmother of twins and I'm over the moon!!   I'll be spending the next month or so helping out so if I'm not inworld you'll understand why.   Anyway.....the new gift is out *maybe I've moved the group joiner and gift since last month?* - its at the bottom of the stairs of the mainstore.

Just in case you missed any blog posts recently, scroll back to see some FUN new items for the garden.   I especially love the new 'female' trees that are quite unique but these ladies are struttin' their stuff!

I'm so excited to be participating in the Home and Garden Expo this year.   It spans nine sims and will showcase some of Second Life's TOP creators.    It opens on May 24th and runs for a week.   I'll be posting notices as the time draws closer to show you some NEW EXCLUSIVE items that I'll have there.  In the meantime, have a great week-end.    Off to hold and kiss babies.   :))
